What Sound Card ?
Currently running this Computer:
Custom Case CPU: Prescott Intel Pentium 4, 3000 MHz (15 x 200) Memory: 1.5gb DDR pc3200 GPU: (e-VGA) nVidia GeForce 6600 (256 MB AGP) Mobo: Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000-G v4 Sound Card: Creative SB Live! 24-bit Sound Card OB Sound Card: Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-2/A-3] I am wondering what sound card I should get that also is complient with the kX Project - my SB Live! Is "EOL" End of Life according to creative, because when I plug in my 2.1 speakers (Ironically Creatives I-Trigue 2.1 (3300) speakers) there is a loud BASS HUM that wont stop unless i turn down the bass on the speakers. But when I use my OB Sound card it works GREAT BUT I want to use a PCI sound card instead of using my Mobo's resources for my sound. I also am looking for a card that has the adaptar on it for front mic/headphone jacks - because my current SB Live! does not - but there is a slot on my Mobo for the AC'97. Any suggestions? |
