How to use 2 Soundcards?
Hy there, my first Post within this Forums. Great work at all, I'm using the latest driver and they really work fine with my SBA2 Pcmcia. My Questin: I'm running an Asus Laptop with built in AC97. In a couple of weeks I'm planning to make a 80ies Party. Now I thought I could use the SB for playing the Music while I could listen in with Headphones on the AC97. Is this possible?

only if
1) your software allows multiple audio out devices - (I suppose some DJ software may..??) 2) you connect the cards together some how (SB line out to AC97 line in - SPDIF connections are even better) But as a general rule - sound cards arent normally very 'communiative' through the PCI buss in the PC. - unless of course you have software that makes it happen - like DJ software. |

Does someone has experience with that? What (Free/Opensource) DJ-Software is recommandable? Connecting both Cards via LineIn/Out shouldn't be a problem cause both have OpticalIn/Out. I guess the things I want to realize are popular for DJ's, so I couldn't imagine that there are no solutions for it. Maybe there are some special DJ Sites Online, does someone know any?
