No EAX in KX - I *think* eax is like dynamic and hardware accelerated reverbs - Or hardware accelerated doppler effects. But these (some??) things I beleive can be software driven via directsound, or A2D interface as well. But eax allows hardware acceleration of these effects.
Thats my understanding anyway, but Im NO expert either. Far from it.
And all because EAX is 'enbaled' in a program, doesnt mean its 'working'. IIRC, it was greyed out, but shown as 'checked' in BF2 options. The check doesnt mean it s on, just the default or the last state it was possible to set to.
But theres DEFINITLY no EAX support in KX due to patent/IP protections.
If gaming is your passion - KX is NOT recommended - KX is more aimed at musicians, or music creation, or those wishing to play with DSP programming.
