Troubles... 6600GT + v3537

Hello, I 've just replaced my 4600 with a new 6600GT. The problem... sound troubles! I've been using KX audio driver months ago without any trouble, but since i did the change... the sound doesn't seem to work, non stop loop of a piece of the sound. I uninstalled kx driver and installed the creative drivers and all works pretty good (but the sound quality... there is a lot of difference :/).

Does anybody have an idea of this?

Thanks in advance

P.S.- I tested several nvidia drivers

Hello, I've seen there is a IRQ sharing (IRQ 11 shared by usb, ethernet and VGA AGP), but i haven't touched it, it was already when gf4 4600 was installed. Any clue?

System Specs

move the soundcard to a new PCI slot - that should fix the IRQ issues (creative cards don't like sharing resources)

Thanks for answer, Stick. I've solved it. I moved the sound car, as you said, but it didn't work. I changed the position of memory DIMMs, and the sound work again! Originally they were in dual channel mode, the new position does not activate dual channel mode and the sound works.

Thank you very much
