Well I voted Sony ...but not that I think its the better console....just that I think its still to early to judge right now....and I think more people will buy the Sony cause of the hype and the success of PS1 and PS2

Wow thats a no brainer.... Sony fucked this one up real good. Not only is it impossible to get one, us people in the EU has to wait 4 months to get one. But hopefully there will be plenty for the EU launch, most of the bugs has been removed by updates and some games worth playing.

Sony rushed PS3 for the holiday sales and did a poor job.

I am not going to vote, but I agree that sony fucked up that one. Why not wait till Spring for the release in the first place? Less bugs, more units, more games, better everything.
Why would they rush for the xmas period when they can't possibly meet the demand for units then? Stupid stupid stupid.

While there is more hype for the PS3 (and thus good marketing and on that sense, a good launch), the rarity of the console makes it an unsuccesful launch like with the Xbox..

As for the Wii, the oppisite is true (I THINK....) thus for me, neither really...

It's the Wii. Nintendo is making $70 per console. Sony is losing $200.

If Sony didn't try to shove crap down our throats (Blu Ray) they would probably be turning a profit on the console. I bet they would have been able to make a lot more of them if it weren't for the shortage on the drives.

We still have to remember that Blu Ray is catering to non-existient demand.

sony screwed up almost every aspect of the ps3 launch, and like erro said, us poor sods in europe don't even get the bloody thing until march, and that's after all the god-damn delays in the first place

nintendo! it's not even close... i'd say it was a near-perfect launch as far as building up the hype and delivering! the overall process was so smooth too, with tons of consoles available and no chaos in the lineups...

GEEZ!!!Theres been 100,000,000 commercials for the PS3.And I dont think I have seen 1 for the Wii.They did show it on Good Morning America{ABC} the other day.Looked pretty cool.They were playing tennis.The Wii is sttting on store shelves here in the town I live in.But there aint a PS3 for sale ANYWHERE.

I say the Wii launch was successful. Plenty of units were launched, they were mostly bought to play and not for ebay, and Nintendo is actually turning a profit on each unit.

nintendo`s launch will be the most sucessful due to the fact that they will probibly be enough consoles to meet demand before christmas where the 360 and ps3 had/has nowhere near enough consoles to meet demand.

I have herd quite a few people here at DH say the PS3's are sitting on storeshelves in there resepective towns/citys.I live in southern Va./United States & U cant find 1 here.

sony wish - the graphics performance of the RSX on the PS3 is vastly inferior to the ATI 48 PP card in the 360. im not going over it again. there are other threads on DH in which I explain it in great detail. As for your comment on "profit motive" - I was directing you to ebay, as EVERYONE is doing it - buying one then trying to sell it for 2-3 times the price, perhaps you missed the point I was making.

I could sooner get Duke Nukem: Forever than a PS3 so I'm going with the Wii. That will change if I don't see Wii's on the store shelves by the end of the year. I want to see those promised 4 million units cause daily calls to the stores has shown they have nothing.

i wont vote at the moment as the ps3 hasnt launched here in Australia yet.

i will add though, that the Wii is the most successful console launch EVER in Aus with about 34k units sold in 4 days (x360 was previous best with around 30k)

i voted niether. both of these consoles are nothing compared to the 360. I bought the Wii, played it for about an hour or so, then put it back in the box and returned it. Then when i got home, i just got on Xbox live nd played for the rest of the day! Nothing compares to the 360 for me.

Xbox live arcade is sooo addictive, they've just released Worms and, MAN I can't get enough of it.
PS3 is too expensive, refuse to cut my arm for it but I will get it later when price reduce because of Blu-ray and later release games. Right now I'm very happy with X360.

If I had a choice between the 3 it would be a 360...soooooo many games that are exclusive to that console that make us PC gamers cringe. PS3 means shit to me, and the Wii is awesome for only a few titles (Wii Sports>Anything else) the rest I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot Wiimote.
