Half-Life's Dr. Gordon Freeman Wins Gamespot's "All Time Greatest Game Hero" Contest
To celebrate Gamespot's "All Time Greatest Game Hero" award to Half-Life's Dr. Gordon Freeman we are offering all Half-Life games at 55.8% off!
There are other great game heroes, and we're gonna let you play with them, but Gordon Freeman is THE BEST GAME HERO OF ALL TIME at least according to 55.8% of the gaming public - thank you to all who voted. ____________ Source: Steam |

Re: Half-Life's Dr. Gordon Freeman Wins Gamespot's "All Time Greatest Game Hero" Cont
There were some interesting results in that contest. The Prince never made it past top 32 which I think was a shame. Also, Gordon barely got past Snake, he had 50.045 vs 49.955 percent (65982 vs 65863 actual votes). And I think that a friend of mine would shoot herself if she knew that Raziel lost in the first round of the "All Time Greatest Game Hero" contest to no other than Donkey Kong.

Who is Raziel?
I was supporting Duke Nukem, but I knew he had no chance.

I bypassed buying Half Life 1 for 4 dollars and ninety threee cents today so I could get Terminator Salvation instead. I also bought Tomb Raider Underworld.

i will get beat on for saying this:
Half-life got boring for me. However its an awesome game. Freeman never appealed to me, too much of a mute but I understand thats how it supposed to be. *puts up guard* |

Quote:
I actually only finished one of the games, the 1999. LoK: Soul Reaver, and I must say that it was one of the more memorable games I have encountered. It had a good back-story (which got waaay too convoluted in the following games), good atmosphere, interesting locations and enemies and some nice gameplay aspects, such as alternating between the physical and the spectral realm. Also, you could roam through the entire world without ever seeing a loading screen, so eat your heart out, HL2.

Legacy of Kain series is one of the series that managed to slip through me. Never played it. Well, I played one of them (I think it was birds eye view) for like half an hour, years ago, so it doesn't count.
![]() Thanks for the info.
