Sony: PSP Piracy 'Sickening,' Has Reduced Sales
In a new interview with Gamaustra, Sony's Peter Dille called the problem of rampant PSP piracy "sickening," and said that Sony now believes a large amount of software sales are lost to illegal sharing.
"I'm convinced and we're convinced that piracy has taken out a big chunk of our software sales on PSP," said Dille. ---------------------------- source: shacknews

Stop making a loss on the hardware and trying to recoup it in game profits! If you make the assumption that piracy is going to continue and it is known that your console/handheld can play (with certain modifications) pirated software then people will buy that console/handheld rather than your competitor's.
I'm not condoning the act of pirating software, I'm just saying that it's here - whether you like it or not - so you have two choices, fight it; or change your business model to something that recognizes it exists and compensates for it
