It goes without saying that there's a palpable air of excitement surrounding the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto IV on PC. Featuring the same glorious core as its console forebears, this latest version promises to expand on the excellent original with an updated multiplayer component and in-depth video creation tool. However, there are still plenty of questions surrounding the release - in particular, the thorny issue of DRM-implementation. I have a idea, sell GTA IV for 20 dollars. I am pretty sure they will sell about 3 million copies for the PC

They will sell 3mil anyway. But yes, I agree with your idea. But then, the people that earn money from copy protection (not the developers), won't make any money out of not installing crapware.
Basicaly, with this scheme, PC gamers only pay rent for their games. Still, I say, screw this. It feels like no one else but me and the occasional crazy person care about online activation. So...fuck it, I will preorder GTA IV and buy Far Cry 2.
