Left 4 Dead Demo Goes Public Today

The Left 4 Dead demo goes public tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11 for the PC and Xbox 360. The demo concludes on November 18, when Left 4 Dead will be made available at retail outlets across North America and worldwide via Steam.

I keep clicking on "install demo" and nothing happens. Stupid steam.

same here. My guess is it will release around 2:00 eastern, it seems most steam things release about then.

Its refusing to download for me..

so i take its not a delay on the uk side..

It's downloading, at 50Kilobyte a second though!! :P

Make sure you have updated your client, and try restarting steam as it works fine here.

the single player part seems interesting, and i would assume the multi would be much better. problem is, the steam servers are being hammered and most people cant seem to connect to an online game right now.

really? i just downloaded it twice at 775k steady.

Already tried that twice previous to posting above... But the odd thing is it worked third time round. How odd.

Downloading at 12.5kbs..I guess at this rate its going to be tomorrow before i get the chance to give it a try.

Yeah I am not downloading this quickly at all!

UK servers must be being hammered, darn.
