Area 51 Free Full Game
Midway has released for free Area 51, allowing you to enjoy the PC version of this sci-fi FPS developed by Inevitable Entertainment. Area 51 features the voice talent of David Duchovny as Specialist Ethan Cole of the Hazardous Materials Division, Powers Boothe as Major Bridges, and recording artist Marilyn Manson as Edgar, the gray alien. As Cole, players, will delve into massive levels within the confines of Area 51, discovering a deadly mutagenic side effect of the virus that controls the minds of those infected, as well as an ancient alien colony buried beneath the facility. With a multitude of human and alien weapons, players must explore chilling conspiracies such as the extraterrestrial crash at Roswell and the faked lunar landing, in order to solve the enigma of Area 51 before the viral mutagen is released and irrevocably mutates all life on Earth.

If it like the suffering its free because they seem to bused for a tilltle PR also.I should imagine this will contain adverts during load screens.
EDIT> still waiting for the D/L to finish.. I remember playing the demo a few years ago,so the full game should be interesting.

Re: Area 51 Free Full Game
If you don't know why the game is free (along with The Suffering/ Psi Ops) because it is supported by invasive advertising that is bundled with the game.
Most Antiviruses locate it as soon as you start downloading it. Sure its free but how much slower are the rest of your games going to run because of it?

Re: Area 51 Free Full Game
psi ops didn't slow down my pc at all. I don't know if I had a 486 how it would be, but I never noticed any slow downs in that game or in general with my system do the free nature of the game.

Re: Area 51 Free Full Game
i couldn't play either of the two games
as soon as i went to launch either of them, the games would attempt to load but as soon as the screen flickered off and on to re-adjust for the resolution changes, the game would just crash to desktop

Re: Area 51 Free Full Game
I actually did a search for "Area 51" before starting up the thread in Game Discussion. Nothing popped up so I went ahead and posted.

FWIW, I've played through several levels of "Area 51" and haven't seen even the first AD. Would it be only in Online Gaming?
