Flatout: Ultimate Carnage Hands-On

Flying shrapnel and clouds of dust punctuate the start of just about every race in FlatOut Ultimate Carnage, a sort of "enhanced version" of Bugbear's Flatout 2 that emphasizes crashing and explosions as much as driving lines. Back in October of 2007, the Xbox 360 version released in the United States and, according to the publisher, the PC version's constantly shifting release date should settle down sometime this summer. So if you're looking for a fairly mindless, pretty driving title with a variety of entertaining racing and mini-game modes, you might want to keep your eye on this one.
