I'm hoping they've further improved coop mode to allow for up to 4 players on a single console to play

Looks pretty cool, though more like an expansion than a true sequel.

Looks nice, I think it will be interesting to have large scale battles like they promise.

I could never get into. It was always really repetitive and too scripted for me.
Also, what the hell is up with how enemies react when you shoot them? (which is not at all).
Seriously, they don't even flinch or try to take cover when you are unloading a clip in their face. All that happens is multiple little blood clouds around their head. While they continue to fire their guns. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to see that well with 50 bullets in my eyes.
I mean come on, it looks like a bad beta (for the first and the second).

What?
You can't even walk into a room that has the enemies without them usually noticeing and tearing you a new one.
or are you playing on easy?
Play on insane to really enjoy the game...

I'm not saying its not hard, I'm saying its not hard for the right reason. The enemies don't get tactically better there shots just do more damage and they can take more damage.
Enemy tactics basically go as far as hiding behind cover then firing and thats it.

hmm
one specific lvl i made a note of how brilliantly these enemies moved around and formed various strategies..
Usually a pattern is formed, but GoW was one of the first where if you throught you knew where they were going to run to, you'd be able to complete the lvl in a matter of of a few minutes and not hours.
In my case, (and i thoroughly loved playing this lvl over and over again until we finally survived it on insane).... i was filled with rockets (lucky me) and still had my sawgun also filled and ready. Loaded with frags to top it all off. My friend was actually well suited.
You know how the lvl splits off into 2 seperate senarios for the 2 players, and if one dies or goes sour, both lose? Yeah that gets interesting.
Anyways, trying to find (after dieing over and over again) a method in which to be as efficient as possible, was difficult beyond reason, soon as i figured out (thought i did), it would change the next round, really intriging because the round always started out extactly the same, and not more then 30 seconds into it, it would consistantly and vastly change.
We also learned that usually the player able to deal the most damage in the shortest amount of time would draw the attention faster. Trying to use that to our advantage. I with the rocketlauncher would try to get a shot off in the other players zone, this would usually get those enemies more interested in me then him, however things can quickly change. Everytime we did the lvl it constantly changed. I think we only passed it because we happened to get lucky. On of which was throwing frags faster then i could pick them up in a crazy attempt to close up those damn holes before a billion enemies started showing up..
And that's only one lvl and only a little of that one lvl.

I'm with SFOSOK on this one, the enemies in GoW were retarded but could absorb ridiculous amounts of fire before dying. This is generally how console games are so it's no surprise that the sequel retains the same traits.

i think one of the major problems is that not all the enemies learn and retain that knowledge..
if they did, we'd be screwed lol
they can easily flank and ride the outskirts of an area to sneak up on you. i've seen this occur, even with someone covering my back i've had my ass handed to me from one knocking me out from behind.
I think if the unreal 3 engine AI was to retain knowledge of previous lessons learnt from the area in which they have spawned, the game would get so incredibly difficult that we'd all be calling them cheaters. It's hard making AI both act smart enough to come up with suitable and realistic solutions as to how they are going to play the defensive and offensive rolls, while maintaining that they aren't to perfect in the sense that even a super human with cat like reflexes and the ability to come up with instant solutions to an ever changing eviroment.
It's imo, well balanced but a sequel could always use a few improvements (just so long as they don't royally screw it up like some sequels tend to do)

GoW looks pretty boring tbh. i dunno what it is but from the brief gameplay i've got in at my friend's houses it gets boring after the first half hour of gameplay.
The co-operative campaign was pretty interesting though, i liked how both players needed to work together on some bits, we need more of those sections

ok, stupid question, but how is the enemy that just got its head blown to pieces going to learn from its mistakes?

Alright, another stupid question. How can a guy that takes 50 shots straight to his face not even flinch or react as much to fire at you? (This is also bypassing the fact his face should be swiss cheese and he should be on the ground.
The blood splatter reminds me of fireworks off their face.
