Kojima Disappointed By MGS 4 Graphics
Very few people would argue that Metal gear Solid 4 is not visually impressive; on the forefront of those people is the game's creator Hideo Kojima himself.
In an interview published in the latest issue of the British Edge Magazine, Hideo Kojima was asked if Metal Gear Solid lived up to his aspirations and his reply was that: "Game-wise, it's pretty close to the original vision: you sneak into the battlefield and can choose whether to do a stealth game or interfere with the battle more directly. But the graphic, side things like motion-blending and the size of the map, totally was not accomplished to my original vision - to my satisfaction."

another person apparently unhappy with the PS3 graphics - im obviously reading between the lines here as he apparently has realised near the end of the conversation how negative he has been and tried to lift the tone a little....

Hideo Kojima is the creator of the MGS series. He couldnt bring everything he wanted of the MGS series on this generation of PS hardware. In my opinion, this generation of gaming hardware has not been as big of a jump as last gen was. I mean really we are seeing just games with generally the same things with updated graphics. It wasnt like the jump of MGS1 to MGS2 where we saw actual facial reactions and moving hair. The online experience though this gen has been better and for shooters its been better as well.

The game looks amazing going from the pics and vids imho but if he feels limited by consoles he should move over to the PC world. I'm sure he could spread his wings quite a bit more then.
Of course this is the same guy that said he was restricted/disappointed by the small size of blu-ray disks after all

well everyone is making shitloads more on consoles now, and its not always about graphics. his games always have these cool and funny excuses for doing something the way the it is.

I hope MSG4 would hit the PC as well. Couldn't afford a PS3.

That worked for crysis then did it? Even today's hardware struggles with the game on very high. With most users complaining about its stiff hardware requirements at least PS3 users will be able to enjoy MGS4 in full detail.

theres some games that are best on the platform they were made on, no matter what genre they are. Halo just sucks on PC, MGS just has that proper feel on the playstation. Quake and Starcraft will just feel odd on the console to me. Japanese people don't play PC games as much as us in the west, they like their consoles and local multiplayer gaming.

no I'm more afraid it will jump to 360, but I'm buying one of those anyways ahha. I like the 360. I am taking work off for MGS4. I am sitting and waiting for the MGO beta right now. I bought the trilogy to relive the experience and I also got my hands on a PSP and will be playing portable OPS soon. I have the limited edition MGS4 pre-ordered, and if I have enough money I might also pre order a gun metal PS3 and auction it off in the future! loads of cash!

Why would you be afraid of it though? Just join the Borg.
