Lord of the Rings Volume II Announced

Codemasters has announced the next volume for Lord of the Rings Online, due at the end of the year. Unveiled at the Connect 08 event in Birmingham's Omega Sektor this morning, Lord of the Rings Online Volume II: The Mines of Moria enables players to explore the ruined dwarven underworld, as well as lap up a load of other exciting features.

Speaking at the event, executive producer Jeffrey Steefel explained that the expansion promises to be "more exciting than anything that's ever been done before", and that players enter Moria after the Fellowship has passed through on its way to Mount Doom. "You're left to deal with the aftermath," concludes Steefel.
