Best Buy Offers Xbox 360 HD DVD Player for $50

DailyTech reported over the weekend that Microsoft pulled the plug on its Xbox 360 HD DVD player. The move was not surprising considering that Toshiba, maker of the drive, already decided to get out of the HD DVD hardware market.

We noted in the article that it would only be a matter of time before a "fire sale" would commence on the discontinued player. Today, Best Buy confirmed our suspicions by slashing the player's price to $49.99.

Hey, it comes with the universal media remote, which normally costs 20 bucks, so you could argue you're getting the player for 30 dollars! XD

i dont really see it as something I would want, its an external drive and 2 years down the line its going to be useless to me. A $50 HD DVD player is more worth it since it can double as my DVD player (which will be alive longer than HD DVD is gonna be lol)
