Speaking to The Economist regarding recent Activision Blizzard mega merger, Screen Digest analyst Piers Harding-Rolls notes that consolidation makes sense in an industry where all of the competing consoles matter. Some currently matter more than most, but he suggests that in the future, it might not be the ones you expect.

I thought the new consoles would be released by 2010 or so.

So, the PS3 from pwning all of us as Daikatana promised it would, now says they are going to catch up to the Wii? Excellent PR Sony, for me to poo on.
