Yes, friends, more than 30 editors located all over the world set aside their ages, allegiances and personal favorites to pick the hundred best videogames that the planet has ever seen! There was fighting, there was mayhem, and there was pizza -- lots and lots of pizza.

Now, some of you may proclaim, "but your list is different from the rankings you guys did in 2005!" Well, of course it is people. Plenty of fantastic games have been released since then, and we have plenty of new folks in our ranks to throw in their couple of cents. We're also not afraid to admit that our tastes change over time too.

Ok list I suppose. Can't believe they left out Mortal Kombat though, and the position of some of the game is way out there (WoW at 83 and Shadow of the Colossus at 16?). Not that Shadow of Colossus is a bad game, but it's certainly not had anywhere near the impact of WoW.

I suppose you could go on forever about order. The top ten is like a trip down memory lane.

Impact =/= great game.

Not a bad list, but stuff gets pretty arbitrary when you're comparing Simcity vs. Doom and trying to decide which is a better game.

Civ2 at #3 is nice though, that was my favorite game for a loooong time, Civ4 with its expansions and modability has it beat now though, it didn't disappoint like Civ3.

The scary thing about this list is that I've played (either extensively, or beaten, for the most part) close to 85 games from the list, with the exceptions being the arcade games, and the newer console ones.

I was actually really pleased they put the arcade games in there. Without them, we'd possibly not have consoles now.

The top 10 seems about right though I'd agree if MK or MK2 was left out that's BS.
