A demo for the new US edition of Alpha Prime is now available, different from the previously released (story) English language demo for Black Element's first-person shooter or the earlier Czech & Russian demos (story). Word is: "The single-player demo features two action-packed missions: ‘Basement’, in which you’ve crash-landed on Alpha Prime and you must find your way into and through the mining facility on the road to saving the miners; and ‘Storage’, where you must battle robots, miners and soldiers as you continue your quest to find your friend. Both missions include the full weapon arsenal because you’re going to need it!" The 338 MB download can be found on ComputerGames.ro, FileFront, Gamer's Hell, and GameSpot (registration required).

I don't know which version I have, but I played the demo and found it an above average FPS. The graphics are good, the lighting is very good, the in game physics fun and good. Sound effects very good. If you have a good soundcard and speakers or headphones the sound is impressive. The music, not so much, I turned it off after 5 min.
The AI looks good so far, and the enemy will hunt you down instead of losing you when you close a door.
The robots in the game are cool too.
I found the "machine gun" a bit underpowered. The sniper rifle is very cool though and for once feels like a future version of a sniper rifle. My favourite weapon in the demo is the shotgun (not since Doom 2!).
The flame thrower is fun.
