Nintendo to End Support for NES
Source: Tech-Ex
________
All good things must come to an end, and thus after 24 years, Nintendo is ending support for the original NES. The company has decided to end support due to increasingly short supplies of replacement parts.

Er......Quite....
Seriously, wow, I had no idea Ninty was still supporting the thing, at least it shows one thing, in 2020 we'll still be able to get support for Wii, hehe.

They can afford to support their hardware indefinitely. The durability of Nintendo's hardware is second to none(aside from perhaps the fragile Virtual Boy, although mine is still working mint:P). You can literally throw a Nintendo console down a flight of stairs and it will still work, same goes for their controllers they're built like little tanks.

Maybe MS should have had Nintendo build their consoles.

90% of their tech support probably consisted of "take the cartridge out and blow on it then put it back into the NES until it works".
