World in Conflict Demo

The promised ( story) playable demo for World in Conflict is now available, offering the chance to try out Massive Entertainment's upcoming action/strategy extravaganza. The download is 1.2 GB (or MB or KB, or something), which debuted on GameSpot (registration required), with mirrors now available on AusGamers, FanGaming, Gamer's Hell, and Internode Games Network. Word in GameSpot is: The World in Conflict demo includes new content never before seen in the beta tests, including the first playable look at the expansive single-player campaign. The demo also includes multiplayer, skirmish, and tutorial modes.
Customers who pre-order World in Conflict will gain access to an additional multiplayer map in the demo and will be able to reserve their Massgate online account name prior to the game launch.

Damn demo keeps locking up my PC either during the benchmark or gameplay...kinda like Lost Planet used to before the new drivers (screen freezes but sound continues).

It actually ran quite well thru the tutorial. Looks like it packs a punch, too!

Tutorial was easy for me too. Got the full game and gonna try the new .69 Nvidia drivers because these Bioshock ones give me all sorts of screen corruption in WiC's benchmark test.

OUCH!!!! This game RAWKS!!! 9.5 is clearly not enough by Gamespot. I DEMAND FULL 10 !!!!!!!

We need a WiC thread.
I've got lots of tweaking questions! Been fiddling with the settings to get 30fps in the benchmark but it's really hard to do without resorting to medium quality.
