Its pretty fun.
It is allot like BF1942.
I think there could be more US servers. There are less than ten and the UK has like 40+. Every now and again a new US server opens up and then shut down after about ten minutes. They must be testing or fixing?
These screenshots are 1280x1024, the source of hosting is limited to 1024x768. Max in game detail aa16x af16x. Anybody who thinks CMD runs slow, CMD is twice as fast as this game with the same level of detail. This is also a beta though and twice as much fun.

I wouldn't call it a lot like BF2142. You have objectives instead of just camping at flags/missile silos, and the teams are asymmetrical.
Maybe the reason there's more UK servers than US ones is because the developer is based in the UK?

Having logical reasons for a fault doesn't make that fault less of a fault.
I should have said that the game looks and feels allot like BF2142 even though the actual gameplay and objectives of the gameplay are totally different.
Whether or not there are flags didn't stop me from getting spawn killed at least fifty times in the two hours I have played.
When a products bottom line is going to be determined by a specific geographical location then that geographical location should get top priority. If that seems harsh then maybe having one out of five servers being playable for me at less than 100ms latency had something to do with my judgment. If they fix the spawn killing and add more US servers then my opinion might change.
All else aside, it sure is fun to play. One thing though, I hope we haven't seen all the weapons that will be in the final product.
They also did a very good job on the net code because even when I tried playing on overseas servers there wasn't any stuttering or jerkiness even though everybody had the jump on me and my 200+ ping.

I heard it's really hard to shoot people due to bad netcode and that people run too fast.

This is one demanding game and I believe that if people are having problems with hitboxes then it is most likely due to having the detail set to high. Personally I have no lag or hitbox issues what so ever.
This is not a realistic shooter and the fast pace seems to be part of the intended gameplay. All of the vehicles are fast and responsive to. The best part is that if there are no vehicles to be had then you can still traverse the map in a reasonable amount of time.
That ended up being one of my main beefs with Stalker. I felt like falling asleep every time I had to get somewhere that wasn't withing seeing distance.
