'Guitar Hero II' (X360) Gets Xbox Live Update, Fixes Whammy Problem
Source: Worthplaying
________________
Guitar Hero II arrives with a new track list, new venues and additional play modes – including the ability to transform the original Guitar Hero SG Controller into a rhythm, lead or bass guitar. Various gamers reported an issue with GH II's whammy bar on the guitar controller, which Red Octane recognized, and now the issue apparently has been resolved through an auto-update.

Ok, I keep reading more and more about the updates that have been coming to the XB360 games. It makes me think the platform is worth getting.
For those out there who have a 360, what do the updates like this typically cost?

This is a Auto Update installation and this will not cost you a single penny. These work just like a pc patch does.Once the disk is inserted you would be asked if you want to update this game.
Im only a one month old xbox live member and as far as i know at this time only certain items has an additional cost, some Map packs, music tracks or videos, movies etc

might be worth mentioning that the only thing this patch updates is a whammy bar issue, nothing else is updated. that worthplaying page is a mess and very misleading.
there are already track updates for the game however you need to pay for them and I personally think they are rather expensive. 1200 points (or almost a fiver) for 3 songs per pack. 3 packs in total, so around £15 for 9 tracks.
A ton more are on the way, however at this price ill not be buying any of them.

I agree Z the song packs are too expensive and it should be per song so you can pick and choose rather than having to pay for songs you dont want just to get one you do.
Be a shame if they try to rip us off so much that the big attraction of the 360 version is, in effect, nullified.
