This Shivering Isles beta patch (all language versions) fixes an issue where form IDs were not being marked as free properly, causing objects to disappear in game.

This was previously mentioned in the Gaming News forum with an unofficial fix. This is the one from the developer.

PROCEED WITH UTTER CAUTION!!

I applied this 'fix patch' and now my character no longer moves!!! I can make him dance and jump in place, but there is no forward, backward, nor sideways movement!

I've saved a new game, exited the game, restarted and loaded the newly saved game----same result.

I KNEW I needed to wait until some reports came in, but, it is, after all the "OFFICIAL" patch, right?

So, when's the patch to fix the patch???

UPDATE: This problem was resolved by rebooting my PC. So, I think it would be wise to reboot after installing the patch and Bethesda should also make a note of it. I've posted over there about it.

I REPEAT: Proceed with utter caution on this beta patch!!!

This is really annoying now:

I applied the beta patch several hours ago. Since then, I've played several sessions, exited the game, started back up after a while, and the only problem I had was right at the first when I couldln't move my character until I rebooted my computer.

Well, just now, after all this time, I've encountered the problem someone else posted earlier: When I load a saved game now, I get a completely new character with no skills, no armor, no nothing.

So, what now? This is really frustrating! I just leveled up to Level 44 Battlemage not long ago. I have no intention of starting all over again now.
