Above, you’ll find a video of the Xbox 360 Spring 2007 Dashboard Update, as leaked and quickly pulled by GameSpot. The video features many of the highlights of the update, some of which are the following:
- Releases May 7th.
- Add up to 600 Windows Live Messenger contacts to your Friends List.
- Text chat with up to 6 Live Messenger contacts at once during games or movies
- The Marketplace will be getting its own Dashboard Blade
- The Marketplace will be skinned independently of the Dashboard, for special events
- The Marketplace will be getting a new, easier-to-navigate remake.
- Achievement Pop-ups will now display how many points and which Achievement you have gained.-
- Low-power downloading (fans off) and auto-off after finishing queued downloads.
- View partially downloaded video files.
Yeah but low power, half speed DVD playback would be much more appreciated. Watched Initial D last night and the DVD drive's louder than the AE86 Trueno LMAO. Mind mine is one of the only surviving launch day boxes, maybe things are a bit quieter now.
Come on guys lol it's a xbox! I am not going to be turning my fans off since I don't want to deal with the possible heat problems. I already lost one and don't want to lose this one. This better be an option because I rather keep my fans on all the time!

Cool... looking forward to try the WLM stuff, but turn the fans off... don't know about that. It's true that the DVD drive is loud. I was playing Tetris Evolution the other day and was thinking why does TETRIS need to have the disc spinning like a mofo for???????????????
