I have many memories of Guitar Hero. The first time I played was at a trade show, and when I held that first guitar controller and clumsily tried to play a song it was like standing in the path of a huge wave. I knew that the game was going to be a hit. When it was released and none of the game stores knew what I was talking about when I called asking for it, I also knew it would be a slow burn. It was a game that a few people would buy, show their friends, and then their friends would buy it. I sold around 10 copies of it myself after friends got hooked at my house and then ran to the store to get their own set-up to practice for our epic Friday night multiplayer sessions.
