Tortuga: Two Treasures Review @ GameSpy
Source: GameSpy
_________ I've never met the guys from Ascaron Entertainment, but when I picture them in my head, they're all wearing eye patches and carrying parrots on their shoulders. That's because Ascaron's managed to create a mini-niche as pirates - err -- "free traders," through well-regarded games like the Patrician series and the pirate-themed Port Royale games. In recent days, Ascaron has tried to branch out from the hard-core strategy game world with fare like DarkStar One. That brings us to Tortuga: Two Treasures, a pirate-flavored action title that that barely keeps its head above water.

It seems like this reviewer has absolutely no experience with pirate games. Tortuga: Two Treasures is not perfect, but surely one of the best pirate games out there. I already spent many hours on this game, and I’ve high requirements regarding to PC games, and I really liked this game.
This game is one of the best pirate games out there (No doubt), and surely deserves a lot more then two stars out of five. I liked it even more then ‘Sid Meier's Pirates!’. If this game is getting such an positive feedback from an ‘Anti’ guy like me, then it must be good. You can grab the demo from the developer's site (377MB).
