Girls Who Play Video Games Have More Sex

Wired blog Game | Life cites a survey conducted by Gametart, UK’s largest online games rental company, whose initial purpose was to measure the impact of the pink PSP and the Nintendo DS on gamers’ sex lives across England. The survey threw up some interesting findings.

Of a 200 women sample, those who played video games on average had sex 4.3 times a week while those who didn’t play games only had sex just 3.2 times a week.

The survey also revealed that those gamer girls who started playing games recently have sex more often than before.

Now, you know it. Next time you see a girl getting a pink PSP and Nintendo DS at your local game store, follow her. You have more chances to score with that one than with a non-gamer girl.

my ex from like 2yrs. ago, last i knew, works as a CSR for WoW. There's no way in hell i'm going to play WoW just so that i can add to her paycheck!

That, and i don't like MMOs because i have to pay for them on a monthly basis.

When I was with my ex fiance, she was a big mmo player, and I'll be the first to tell you, she wanted sexy almost every night, sometimes 2 times a day, it was the first girl I was with that wanted it that much...

Hmm, I wonder if this takes into account the greater need a person has to have sex attributed to their feelings of self worth. I'm guessin most of the girls who play mmo's or video games like guys do have a low self-esteem causing them to seek sexual activity to make up for it.

There are exceptions however like me and one of my ex's (She did not play video games). Lets just say for that entire year and a half I stopped playing video games and brought down the entire school GPA for a semester because I was occupied elsewhere for about 16 hrs of the day.

I would have to say that increased sexual activity with girls who play video games is probably best attributed to lowself-esteem.

Just some thoughts on it.

I disagree with this.

i know plenty of gamer girls and their self-esteem is quite well off. or at least as well off as any other girl. "Gamer girls" arent some sort of freak girls. they're normal girls like you and me and can easily be lost in a crowd.

I will say though that the girls I've dated who played video games wanted sex a lot more often.

actually its interesting because they were the same ones that played lots of RTS and FPSs...I wonder if theres some part of the male psyche that affects sex drive AND desire to game at the same time and its also in females.

interesting idea, no?

Games are relaxing

when either of the sexes are in a relaxed mood, its easier to get sexually stimulated

hence Games = relaxation + sex.

the same goes for the study that found geeks are better at sex then fireman.

its not that they are better... its that firemen are active all day and tire themselves out, hence are too tired to get it on later.

geeks on the other hand.. are more mentally stimulated which isn't are tiring (unless you just pulled a 24h stint at the office...)

anyway.

it makes sense.

It may have to do with hightened stimulation or brain activity that was otherwise not present

.

Also self-esteem was the best word I could come up for what I was trying to say. I meant more like a desire to entertain a person's urges. A person who does not play games (and has not for a while) has less of an urge to play a game than someone who plays it frequently then stops.

I think playing a video game, having more sex, and watching more TV all have to do with a self-gratifying urge.

What do you lure teenagers and people-who-play-games-more-than-going-out with? Girls of course! That's all they think of anyway. And it usually stays at 'thinking' about them rather than actually trying to go out with them.
