Supreme Commander single-player demo

Download: 3dgamers1.1GB
_______________
A playable demo for Supreme Commander is now online, allowing the chance to take this futuristic real-time strategy game by Gas Powered Games for a spin. This demo allows you to test the Cybran Nation, one of the game’s three playable factions in the early stages of the single-player campaign, as well as a skirmish map entitled “Finn’s Revenge” in three different difficulty levels.

Personally I found it disappointing. It looks more like toys than any sort of war.

Does it play like a standard RTS? Or is it some strange implementation?

I'll have to wait a week or so till all the download sites aren't swamped. Then I will probably check it out. Unless I can find the demo on Bit Torrent.

Actually after playing the skirmish mode and getting tech 3 and "experimental units" this game is really good, and hard! In the campaign I was just using the sucky level 1 units there's so much cool stuff you can build later on like those giant spiders which can go stealth and underwater.

I tried the tutorial but it said it wasn't ready yet.

I seem to struggle with the interface in these games. Lord of the Ring Battle for Middle Earth 1, 2 and the expansion have a much easier interface for me to work with, and the resources make more sense to me - much simpler.

I'm not sure I'll get the hang of it or enjoy playing it as much as the BFME games, but I'll give it a whirl.

Glad you enjoyed it.
