Is it a coincidence that next year is the tenth anniversary of the release of the modern classic L.A. Confidential, the same time Rockstar Games is slated to publish a noir-themed next-gen title? Who knows? Gaming film buffs might also smile at the coincidence of a movie cast of then-unknown Australian actors like Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce carrying the film, and this game being developed by newly formed Down Under developer Team Bondi. It's not L.A. Confidential: The Game, but it was the first thing we thought of as we read Rockstar's press release this morning.
