i can't believe you guys aren't talking about the fact that it's only for windows vista? does that strike anyone else as ridiculous? Not as a business decision I suppose, but from the gaming perspective? Another reason not to buy halo 2 or windows vista for me.

when halo 2 is finally release windows Vista may possibly become the most downloaded torrent for that month ......
this is kinda lame i can ( kind of) understand the lack of support for O/S like 95 /98 /ME but to alienate 2000 and XP .... ludicrous

MS could have packaged Halo2 free with Vista and it would have gotten MS millions more in sales. If they sell it everyone will get it from warez sources.

The fact it is being released only for Vista indicates people will not want to upgrade to Vista. My guess is Halo 2 will be written using the .NET framework.

never bit on to the whole "halo is the best game in teh world" craze. Personally, it sucked, controls were sluggish and such. Oh well, another game to take up precious shelve space i suppose.

Well, lets just see how this one pans out. I still haven't seen and evidence that its a Vista only release. I'm not saying they wouldn't do it, I'm just saying usually MS is smarter than that. Why sell themselves short on sales, when common sense says people aren't going to upgrade their OS to play a 3 year old game. I think they know that.

hell vista will also be the most downloaded torrent you cant beat them MS noone can......anyway i was in the halo 2 craze (it was before my pc time.....100$ i won in a halo 2
tourney went towards my computer )and i can say that noone will buy this......all the halo fans have moved on and dont like the game now anyway.....any true halo fan bought an xbox for it.....the only sales they will get outa this is pc people just looking for a game to play (the few people that arent fanboys/haters)....and im sure someone will find a patch/crack or something to play it on XP.....maybe they'll change their minds? hell my windows x64 never got the support it should have..... |

To much shady stuff is going on with vista anyways, I'll probably switch to linux if I have too. Plus the system requirement for the OS is insane. Plus alot of people that haved played H2 on xbox says it not worth it.

Be happy you beable to play it if you haven, and always wanted to play it, I'll still getting it when I get vista. I not getting vista for the game, I getting it for the normal staying up to date.
I getting the game because I knew it was gonna pop up on the pc, I been waiting to play but I didnt want to buy a xbox just to play it.
