Well at least they're fast on the trigger. They might not have fixed the performance issues that some users are having but it beats the lag on Battlefield 2 patches by a mile.

They're fast on the trigger because they released the game without it being finished. This still doesn't fix the issues most people are having with it not recognizing the dvd in the drive.

Pfft, Why they would waste there time to update Suckyerom(tm) is beyond me. The release that hit the net is a CLONE. CLONE MEANS VERY GOOD COPY!
If it is the new version of suckyerom, than like quake 4, it will blacklist yer stuff. Too bad there are multiple applications for hideing Virtuals.....
The countdown to the end of the month is here.... B4 November..... We will have a new weapon in our rights. In america, we are legaly allowed to backup what we own. We are not allowed to get around copy protections...... but we are allowed to back it up.... So..... Daemon tools 4 is going to Roxxer there... Proxxer....
(too much calculus....)

The problem with a lot of games these days seems to be the developers getting pressure to release their games before they're ready

ok...I usually let it go...but how on god's green earth did any of those bugs make it out the door?
"Water animations where there isn't any water"
"Grenades stick to windows"
"Players fall out of the level"
"Players spawn as neutral"
"Dead guys win elimination"
PLAY YOUR GAMES BEFORE YOU SHIP THEM TO US

Some creative programs out there may help with that, but I shan't discuss them much as they tend to be more "pirate oriented", altho they are becoming much mroe frequent as disc protection screws over more and mroe valid customers.

Some people are saying to run the game in windows 2000 compatibility mode, and it might work a bit better. DOnt know as I haven't tried it yet.

Vikinggod.
that win 2000 compatibilty worked for the unpatched release of FEAR but if you update the new securom security update blacklists the win2000 mode,
giveing you a error saying this security module could not be started error.
there for you have to run it in winxp mode.

look for a program called sr7stop10.exe. its completely legal. just use it. it fixed the problem for me. The trouble is that you may have to run it every time you switch out CDs. I'm not entirely sure.
Anyway it fixed the problem for me, so try it out for yourselves.
edit: clarification: it fixes the problem with the comp not recognizing the DVD. Performance still sucks like a hoover.
