F.E.A.R ! is Released !? only Underground though. :P
this is for anyone to post what they think of the final game and how it runs on ATI/NVIDIA hardware.
it looks like its been released ahead of time. 4 days before official release.
to those that have access to underground i dont want any posts on where to get the game, i just want posts from people that can get access to play it and what it runs like on there systems.
i will post pictures soon.

several stores broke NDA and you can actually find it for sale in parts of canada, for example.
I assume thats what you mean by "underground", right? (smile and nod)

I will post some pictures and some info on how fear runs on my X850XTPE tommorow to get your thought the weekend
i have been hearing reports that this game just doesnt FAVOR ATI hardware at all, and favours NVIDIA a lot more.
but i will find this out tommorow when i post pics.

i havnt heard anything about how it runs on ati/nvidia, but i know the multiplayer demo and single player demo run just fine with everything maxed on my system. 2x aa 16x af, and volumetric light turned on. according to the built in stress test with the demo, i only do 9-11% under 25fps

Well about the time of the demo nvidia "bought" thier way
so I hope they didn't mess with it too badly
Peak FPS peak I saw with really high but custom settings
no aa/af @ 1024X768 was like 230FPS peak, all over like 130 fps.
I had no problems if this changes, we will know who to blame...

the demo run just fine on my 9800 pro (with medium settings), so I don`t know why the final game should be worse.

A bunch of stores already have it on their shelves. My BB and EB both had the game available for purchase today. You can buy it legitimatly already, no need for warez.

Yep, openly available now. You can thank Best Buy for breaking the street date.
Picked it, and Serious Sam II up today, but thanks to Microsoft dumping a parcel off for me yesterday neither will get much playtime for a day or so. As soon as I can pry myself away from * * III I'll let you know how FEAR runs.

I hate the "Saving" COUGH COUGH COUGH - Loading zones.....
Think Half-Life 2 pre patch.... I need a new computer.... Thats all there is too it.
*Computer Wish List to play FEAR.*
-X4 Multi-Core M2 with 2 megs of cache.
-4 gigs of DDR3 ram
-The R600 and the Nv80 in (Die mode, Patent pending....)
-A soundblaster sound card that actualy helps instead of hinders.
umm.... well..... The game isnt officaly out. (Wait for ATI to find that rabbit.)
Complaining aside, I havent stayed up till 4 am playing a video game since I quit wow back in january...
*Mayro's Score.... Problems Aside.... 9.5!*

Now I wish I hadn't pre-ordered it. If I knew I could go down to the store and buy it today vs waiting until the 19th (2-day shipping) I wouldn't have pre-ordered. Oh well..
For online.. I turned some settings down to get this:

great looking game and the audio is just as good. quite creepy. Only negative I will say is it can get a little repetitive in parts.
