sorry guys BTW, I noticed Alot of gamers have SP2 installed does this colections of patches aid in 3d and video, I tried it when it first came out but I didn't like all the changes. I don't seem to have any issues with anything, but was wondering if there are specific fixes with regards to graphics and 3d rendering..video and the like. I have the latest DX..so any opinions advice? thx

What's not to like about SP2? The Security Center? That can be disabled, but then it's up to you to keep your stuff up-to-date. Other than the Security Center, I do not see why someone would not want to install SP2.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is awesome! I've played it through 3 times....the latest on the expert mode. Just a fantastic game!
HL-2 is also the cream of the crop. (I just don't like STEAM at all! And, you being on dial-up, you'll likely despise it, too, since you can't play the game without all the STEAM updates and verifications.)
Like was mentioned above, a lot depends on what you like.

I still have the game installed. I haven't yet tried it online, so, yeah, that would be cool!

Co-op is the best part of the game, the VS multi is lackluster like in PT. The single Player looks really pretty but being a ubisoft Single player destoryer it wasn't long enough or hard enough.
Thinkin bout it now, I will pick it up when I can get the extra cash for it.

I use to have high speed I didn't mind online games but I like the one plyer game also I loved SOFII I stll play that game. etc. I probably would have HL2 by now but I was told it was more for guys online. as I said I am not a big gamer but I would like to have a collection of CHOICE games for company and when I feel like it. so I appreciate the info..also I don't mind the openGL games either, what I meant is games that would capitalize on newer hardware.. What is Splinter cell Pandora tommorow like? is it good? you guys seem to like splinter cell CT ..Pandora tommorw I think is on slae for like $10 new..or maybe it CT can't remeber. We have alot of used disc stores around here, so I ask the guy for a certain game and he buys me the best copy he can find..buys them from people who are board of them..etc..great way to collect games..thx guys..

HL2 Deathmatch is not what people by the game for.
HL2 has one of the most unique plots and storylines to date and it really pulls you into the game. Also what is your hardware? CT is better by far if your hardware can take it, then get it.
