SoF2 demo cheats.

I've seen three different sites have the wrong info on how to make cheats work in the demo, so I thought I'd post a few findings.

-Add "+set sv_cheats 1" to the end of the command line in your shortcut to SoF2
-Hit "shift"+"tilde" to pull down the console (just like JK2

)
-To get rid of head-bobbing, at the console type each of the following and hit return after each. (Don't worry, it'll save itself to the .cfg file so head-bobbing won't be there next time.)
cg_bobup 0
cg_bobpitch 0
cg_bobroll 0
cg_runpitch 0
cg_runroll 0
-Cheats for god, timescale, notarget, noclip so far.

Anyone know if it's possible to enable gore in the demo? Blowing off peoples appendages and such is the major drawing point for me to this game and I'd really love to check it out before picking it up.

Did I ever mention that I love warp2search? I love warp2search!!!

They just posted an article on how to enable gore in the SoF2 demo and it works like a charm. The game is much better with the gore on.

Thank you to the kind person who discovered that one and posted it, it is muchly appreciated.

BTW-Does anyone have any clue as to how to display FPS in the demo? I've thrown all the standard Q3 fps commands at the thing to no avail.

EDITED BITS: The thanks for the trick goes out to Warrax, I thought I'd best cut-n-paste a copy here in case it disappears of warp2search due to a heavy news day.

-On your shortcut, right click -> Properties -> add "+set lock_blood 0" to the Target line.

-When you start the game, pull down the console by pressing "shift" and "~" to

-Type "menu lock"

-A new option on the bottom menu will be activated (it has a pic of a lock). Click on it. It will promt for a password, you can just press ok.

-Turn on all of the gore and set a new password (or keep it blank).

-Restart and play with gore.

All respects, ups, and credit to warp2search and Warrax for this one. If you use it and like it go to their site and click on a few banner ads for 'em.

Dude, go out and buy it! This game is freaking awesome as hell. Plus it has gore options in both the Multi & single player menu.

To enable FPS, type..... cg_drawFPS 1 the damn thing is case sensitive.

Just thought this might be a useful thread to bump up... (It works for the full-version too if you have troubles getting gore enabled...for the original SoF to enable gore e-mail me again.

I'm not sure I know all of the details of the situation, but have you tried uninstalling the demo and clearing all of the regestry entries out?

I have the full version of the game. I just updated to the Gold version. All gore options are locked. When I try to unlock them it says invalid password. The problem is I NEVER GAVE IT A PASSWORD!

I installed it with full violence. I also picked the right version in the patch installation.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled about 6 times with no luck. Still no gore.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you make sure its folder is gone, and clear out registry entries after uninstall?

i once saw a bug in sof2 where if you shoot frindlys non stop they lose body parts
and look bloody

I deleated the folder, but I never messed with the registry. I'll do that when I get home. I'm at school right now

Not even supposed to be at "non - accademic sites" oh well screw that

Alright I uninstalled it, and deleated the folder, and deleated the registry crap. STILL NO GORE!

Has anyone found anything about this bug, or have had a similar problem in the past?

anyone know how to enable cheats in the full version if i add enable cheats and drop the console i get told that the program is read only

any ideas ???

Don't patch the game? I don't get it, I followed me own steps above and it worked fine for me.

I'll try completely un-installing it and re-installing it with patch and see if I can find the problem....I'll try and get to it by this afternoon, I gotta take the kids over to breakfast with Grandma and take her repaired PC over. (Entertainment for all!
