I saw/played the demo @ Valve and it has amazing graphics now with the HDR...well worth a download, and this game has lots more concentrated action - constant rock & roll, great sound and visuals. We got to see the difference with HDR on & off with DOD while there. More to come, just got back from flight and at work now. Good post buchman, thanks for the Steam update.

~$20, i would say its well worth it. This was my favorite mod by far for the original hl.

I have the ATI cupon so I goten the basic package for free
I can upgrade to silver for $10, but all I really get for it is this
new day of defeat source... and condition zero, I already have the the rest

I just wish I could see some actuall gameplay 1st, or be sure that
it going to be one that I play before I pay for it.

I took MPEG's of the game play which will probably be included in my piece. Trust me...it's worth it, Valve guys were playing it all over the building the entire time I was there.

Do what im doing, preload it and then wait for people to do the OMFG its so LEET MAN!

I can do the 10$ upgrade too, but im not paying for new models for use on my old hardware.

! Actually, seeing as DOD is one shot one kill most of the time, with the way source's netcode is, there isnt a point to me getting it. Ill always die. lol

Sweet. As soon as I get home from work (7:00AM) I will start loading this baby. I bought the HL2 Collectors Edition awhile back for $29. It says I already have all of the HL2 and HL1 stuff available with this package. $29 was well worth it and the t-shirt that came with it was not bad either.

Unfortunely the people that bought the Collector's Edition still have to pay.

That's not true at all. I went to the "buy dod:source link" and the box to the bottom left says that I have already purchased for every level of the game all they way up to the gold edition. I will take a screenshot of that when I get home.

Before they updated steam with the pre-load for DOD:Source I was able to "try" to pre-order the game and it would always display the message "Thank You! You have already purchased Half-Life 2 on Steam. At present, only one HL2 offer may be purchased per Steam account" However, now it has the option to pre-order the game. So I was wrong.

It seems like a good value though at $17.96 + tax. I may just go ahead and buy it.
