DH Article: Wipeout Pure (PSP)
Wipeout Pure is a fun racing game set in the future, 2197 to be exact, where cars are ancient history and everybody drives cool hovercrafts. Not only that, but the races are in excess of 1000 km/h through crazy environments, ranging from extensively busy metropolises to dangerous snowy mountains and of course, everything in between. Wipeout is a very simple racing game, so don’t except much more than what I previously mentioned beforehand. There is no visible storyline since SCE Studios Liverpool really concentrated on making the game worthy of its (successful) predecessors (and avoid the mistakes peppered throughout Wipeout Fusion). They’ve succeeded in capturing the essence of this once great racing franchise.

Wipeout on the psx 1 were a fantastic game.....one of my favourite racers at the time i only had console gaming days...
Nice fast paced action...the review looks as though wipeout still keeps that excitement from the original.

I never really got into the Wipeout series until the PSP release, but I have to admit I'm loving this game, and it's one of the better PSP releases so far. Already they have over 4 download packs for the North Am release, plus other companies releasing stuff.
If you have a PSP it's well worth your time to buy this game. It's worth every penny.

Besxt game I own for PSP, the Wipeout team is very dedicated also, they are still releasing absolutely free packs for it. Best game for PSP in my opinion.

I have Lumines and Need for Speed Underground Rivals out from Gamefly, I must send one back before I get Wipeout. I'm probably going to send back Need for Speed, and after that I'll waiting outside by my mailbox with my PSP

My advice: dump NFS. Never could get used to the "arcade" feel of the cars.
