Bluetooth Mice and gaming...

Hi guys,

I know this has been touched on before, but not bluetooth specific.

I'm planning to buy a bluetooth mouse to help with the wire clutter on my laptop (has built in bluetooth). I know that pretty much any mouse I get would perform fine for browsing, chatting etc. What I'm concerned with is what happens when I launch a game of Day of Defeat or Counterstrike.

I've used a RF mouse before, and it was fine for everyday use, and even in warcraft 3 I didn't have any problems with it. But as soon as I fired up counterstrike, I couldn't aim accurately for the life of me. (this was a cheap $40 logitech one that was included with my laptop)

Are bluetooth mice any better?

I'm planning on picking up an Anycom BTM-100: http://www.anycom.com/anycom/product...CC3141&lang=us, Does anyone have any experiences with this particular mouse? I've looked at the MX900, and it's just too big and bulky for me (I want to be able to quickly slip it into my pocket when I need to move my laptop around)

Thanks

bluetooth is accurate, but lacks range (i wouldn't use it more then 5-10 feet away)...and the dongle may pick up cell phones as devices

Blue tooth is in the same spectrum as WiFi (802.11b/g) and could cause some conflicts if used right next to your access point and/or router. Other then that their great (Oh microwaves screw with them to, but only if their close.)

The Logitech MX510 isnt wireless but its the absolute dogs nuts...especially for gaming. Bluetooth mice are heavier and therefore less suitable for high speed use (IMHO)

System Specs

My first wireless mouse was a Microsoft Bluetooth one. Had it for all of 1 hour before I gave up on it. I was getting way too much lag in games with it. Took it back, and replaced it with the Logitech MX700. Beautiful mouse.

Logitech will be releasing new laser mice in September, so it'll finally be time to replace this one.. or at least move this one down to the server.

Speaking of which, Logitech updated their site with the lising for the G7 Cordless Laser Mouse HERE. Still nothing for the other 2. @ $139 MSRP it looks like it's gonna cost me a pretty penny to buy it too.
