Go to here Pspupdates.com, DO NOT UPGRADE TO FIRMWARE 2.0 if you get it. That site has emulators for every old console that work on the psp, right now I have about 500 snes roms on my 1gb stick (and the first episode of RvB) and they all play flawlessly even Chrono Trigger and Zelda. This is more than worth the cashs dude, seriousl, you cannot be disappointed
The best games out for it are wipeout pure, Luminumes, MG Ac!d, and possible that rpg and twisted metal, the graphix are near Ps2 and I'm not even joking.
This is the best handheld ever. You may not trust me but it is.

Wipeout has come with 3-4 content packs with extra maps and ships, the last one was rleased very recently. If you need any help with the instilation or use of the emulators or homebrew processes I would be more than happy to post an instructions guide on the forum or send one to a moderator. They even have mods to play the music you have on it in game. pspupdates has all the new coming to psp and I've been with them since the begining.
Untold legends has the ability to wifi conect with 3 other players and so does every game for psp, I'm takin this sucker with me to the army so I can own some hicks at wipeout. Best handheld ever. Makes DS look like DOS paint.

UMD format has also been recognized as a standard movie format, meaning, pretty much ever dvd that comes out from now on will have a version for psp, and also there is some porn umd's if you like that kinda thing but you have to special order them from Japan.
