I really don't understand why they are making it that way, it looks really bad. Perhaps they want to keep everyone thinking that their console is for little kids?

Sigh...
Am I the only person who absolutely loves the new Zelda look (the Cel-shaded one) or is it just that you guys have never played Jet Grind Radio or other Cel-Shaded games?
Those screenshots look horrid, yes, but if you see the game in action (look for a movie of it... there should be plenty now after E3) I think it looks great.
And from reading accounts of people who have tried it at E3, I wasn't stoned when I decided that I really liked the cel-shading.
Granted, that's my opinion, but I think that this is definately a game that people have to take their "I AM NOT A KIDDIE" hats off for and just enjoy (once it comes out). I'm sure if they had done it to look like the N64 versions of Link & Zelda, people would be out there griping that it's just the same as the old stuff. At least this way they're taking a chance and it might be good AND different!

It is for little kids, took em ages to get their games on discs because they thought kids could hurt themself on the discs.

Ive played Cell Shaded games....and I absolutely hate Cel shaded graphics....:shudder:
I would like to play Zelda a little more seriously then this. I have to agree the Ocarania of Time for N64 was the best of the bunch 3D wise, with "A Link to the Past" for SNES being the best of all the bunch.
Playing Zelda, as a 23 year old, I really dont want to be reminded of the Cartoon Networks Powder Puff girls when Im into a Action RPG.
Maybe Nintendo, once releasing this garbage, will realise the error of there ways, and make a Zelda for teen and higher people. A Zelda game with the graphics of how Zelda GC was originaly conceived in the Release of GC, would ROCK!

Nothing wrong with cel-shaded graphics. Even I enjoyed Jet Set Radio. However, these graphics just don't suit Zelda very well. I never saw Zelda as a cartoony game, but more as a psuedo-realistic game.

Hasn't Link always looked like Peter Pan? Maybe he's been hitting the Ben & Jerry's to soothe his depression over being so goofy-looking in this game.

Hmmm...
erm, the cel-shaded look was announced quite a while ago (wayy before E3), and it got the exact same reaction i see here...granted the graphical style is a radical departure from the traditional Link series, but c'mon, it's not even out yet. You can count on Nintendo not to screw up (if you pardon the new look, of course ) one of their biggest franchises. I would expect to see some new gameplay elements introduced to go along with the new look, so it should be a fun ride.
Plus, haven't you all seen the trailer for XIII ?? i can't wait for that one....
