The last game I finished was Republican Commando. I want a flight SIM were you can fly alongside starships at lighting speed sintead of just crawling past ships.

True. The last game i actually remember really enjoying is Dawn Of War, i've wasted quite a bit of time and money on a few pretty poor PC showings lately (do not buy Boiling Point!)
Im looking forward to GTA:SA, aswell as DoW: Winter Assault.

I am also looking forward to GTA:SA. I purposely keep myself away from the PS2 version of the game so then I go into the PC version not knowing much about the game, making it feel like something new, despite the fact that game has been available to the public for quite some time.

Yeah, that's the same game I'm looking forward to as well. If you want a good game that's not-so-late, but is worth looking into and is to do with space, check out Freelancer, it's a bit old, but it's another good title from M$.
Other than that you'd be happy with Splinter Cell, start with the first, play through Pandora Tommorow to Chaos Theory, you'll be happy.
If you're into adventure (as in you're one of the one's who fancied Tomb Raider ), then your best bet's Prince of Persia, The sands of time is interesting, but The warrior within is great. You can also play Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3:Raven Shield if you liked Rouge Spear, look for the one that comes with the bonus pack Athena Sword.
If you're into strategy, then get yourself a copy of Age of Mythology:The Titans, for old-time strategy, and Command & Conquer: Generals and Dawn of War:Warhammer 40K for new time.
Sorry, haven't been on MSN, catch you all later, bye.

You can say that again There's nothing for me until Advent Rising or F.E.A.R rolls in.. I'm having my doubts on Advent Rising though.

Europa Universalis II is a few years old now but its a fantastic game; give it a shot if you get the chance.
There's a few good military strategy games still being churned out like Korsun Pocket. Low on graphics, high on strategy. Age of Empires III is due out soon, but I'm not an RTS guy...RTSes always end up being tank-rush strategies for people with high tolerances for carpal tunnel syndrome. :/
Given how solid the next generation consoles are looking, I suspect we're nearing the beginning of the end of PC Gaming. The costly graphics card race (e.g. $500+ for a current generation card) certainly isn't helping. The only games that sell well on the PC now are FPS (how many WW2 shooters can you play?) and EA Sports games, and the Sims. WoW is doing well, but its sales are in the hundreds of thousands, not millions like X-box or PS/2 titles.
With the advent of MMORPG I think RPGs have taken a turn for the worse... no more intricate plots like Fallout, Ultima, or Baldur's Gate. Episodic quests for XP/skill points to level up fast seems to be the name of the game. Its what sells, so I can't blame the developers...

i think most of you waiting for GTA SA will be dissapointed. It was utter crap on the ps2 compared to Vice City. I wont go into detail, but after a while you will will bored of it. Map is way to big, missions are not fun and overall the storyline sucks.
BF2 and f.e.a.r should kick this year off with a late bang...

ive played the PS2 version, or attempted to, while it jerked along at 10fps while looking more like "lego GTA". the game seems good and hopefully on some high end pc hardware will also look and feel good also.

Hmm, a friend of mine told me that the Freespace games are utterly briliant. Also, freespace is kinda cool. And if you dont mind really bad graphics, Tie Fighter is the best ^^;;

I always enjoyed Xwing vs Tie fighter, but I doubt anyone still plays that.
I've personally fallen in love with Lego Star Wars over the last 24 hours. I'm not far enough into the game, but I've heard you can fly a space fighter at some points.

I had alot of fun with GTA:SA. I thought the missions were pretty cool, although some of them were very hard and irritating. All and all, very fun game and yes, the map is HUGE!

Nice to see im not the only one who noticed that, I tried my hardest to play it round a freinds house and I got sick of the FPS diving whenever you turned a corner, apart from that the game is great, so the PC version should be nice.

I still play Tie Fighter, the original, not x vs tie.
Yes Lego SW is AWESOME, while not even close to other games from a technical standpoint (simple levels easy gameplay) it is probably the most fun I've ever had with a video game, and the coop gameplay is really cool.
