Counter-Strike: Source - Does not retain Configuration?
I've got an annoying problem with CS:S. Every time I go into the game, I am forced to go into my preferences and change my Video settings. I usualy play at 1024x768 2xAA with everything on full but everytime I leave the game and go back in, I always lose my settings and am reverted to the default settings.
I've checked in my folder and I don't have an Autoexec or Config file with those settings. Any clues? I am, however, running the -dxlevel 81 switch. Could that be an issue? |

same problem mate, im tired of changing it EVERY single time. i have the -dxlevel 80 switch so i think that is our problem. i dont know if we can do anything about it.

Reinstall CS... It bugs quite alot and if you got a backup, just reinstall it.

There is a text file inside C:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\(youremail)\counter-strike source, that has a text file that contains all of your options. Change them there, and then change the text file to read only, should work then.
