Weird Error When Launching a Game

I have been playing links 2003 for about 2 1/2 to 3yrs w/o any problems. My main internet was out for about a week and I got it restored and I went to play a game of links and get the following error.

"error before system initialized............invalid allocation, -332136448 bytes. I have unintstalled/reinstalled the game a few times, tried different vid drivers, and I get the same message everytime. I am totally baffled as to whats going on. As far as I can tell every other program/game is working fine. If anyone has any information on what you think the error means generally it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

Do you use a firewall other than windows, may have to reenable it to access the internet in that one since you reinstalled, might not, although i don't know why it would of changed before you reinstalled? May be a software default with your firewall. If it's not your firewall or if you don't have one, than I haven't a clue. Good Luck. I know a good reformat might do something, just kidding, LOL!
