Counterstrike Cond. Zero and Steam thru proxy?

One of my friends, I set up a basic network for him and his kids, he wants his son to be able to play Counter Strike Condition Zero from his machine in his room. I used freeproxy on the main machine downstairs and the other 3 machines access the web via the proxy. Is there anyway to get Steam and CS:CZ to use the proxy so he can play? I did it this way because Windows XP ICS wouldn't co-operate!

Cheers guys
