Your Candidate for "Game with the BEST Ending"
As much as we've heard how there are so many people who dislike or are disappointed with the ending of games like Half Life 2, Halo 2, Max Payne 2, etc., I thought I'd start a thread asking for you to suggest a game with the absolute

BEST ENDING

you've ever experienced in a game.

Try, however, to keep the suggestions fairly recent. (Maybe last 3 years or so.)

Without making any suggestions myself for now, have at it.

Thief The Dark Project had my fav. ending of all time.. I still sometimes watch it when I want to reminisce.

Yes, Thief always has cool endings, but I'm gonna say Hitman 2 - Silent Assassin I just loved it

the ending to MGS3 was good. may not be the absolute best ending ever, but it was damn good.

Arghh! As much as I like that game, the ending sucked! Shodan was easier than a lone Psi Reaver, and it takes about 10 seconds to beat her (3 ICE-Picks and an assault riflw w/ AP shells), it is very evident that it was rushed. The end cutscene was even worse!

My favorite ending for a game has to be intergrating with Helios at the end of Deus Ex.

A really cool one I think for me was just FF7. I was just so in awe for the last fights and all... And the last cutscene. Just perfect

StarCraft had a pretty good ending(self-sacrifice is always an attention grabber), and so did Final Fantasy X. I almost started crying...

wc3 was a pretty crazy ending, frozen throne was awesome when arthas won.

final fantasy 8 had a sick ending, ffx just had a puny final fight but the ending was good.

hey guys, let's talk greatest endings! doom 3! iheard you fight some monster and it's over! wow that cannot be topped! LAME

Not time restricted, then Wing Commander 4 Price for Freedom. I looooved how even at the end movie you got to make choices as to what it will happen. Excellent and unmatched IMO.

More recent, NOLF1. Not excellent but I can't remember any other ending worth mentioning, at least those that I have seen.
