Are Far Cry patches incremental?

Having some audio issues with the game (crackling/popping/audio lag) and after re-installing latest audio/video drivers the problem was still present. I re-installed the game last night but my load game options did not show all of my current progress. Tried patching to 1.3 but patch would not intstall so I'm currently re-installing the game one more time.

Am I supposed to install all of the patches in sequence or does 1.3 include all updates?

I actually have updated Far Cry from 1.1 to 1.2 and then to 1.3. I've also updated to 1.3 straight. Both never gave me any problems.

I got my game saves working with 1.3 again, but the static issue is still there. I've triesd all the various audio options re-installed all drivers, moved my video card to a different AGP slot, called Ubisoft tech support, seems like I'm about out of options here.....no biggie though, I'm sure it'll be fine once I get my main rig back up. I suppose till then I can live with some static.

Another PCIe slot?

I hate you

To fix the stuttering,
1. Diable EAX ingame
2. Try the kX drivers, to see if it a prob w/ Creative's drivers
3. If nothing else works, go into the Windows SOund menyu and turn down hardware acceleration one (or two) notches.
