I was shocked to hear about this, but after checking it out, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the things I've seen so far. It's for PlayStation 2 only right now, I'm hoping that there'll be a PC version too. As much as many people hated the first, I really liked it for some reason.

Sells more X-Box's - which is why we'll probably never see it on the PC.

Red Faction came out on the PS2 first, which is likely why they're going to put the sequel on the PS2 as well. They already have the code for the PS2 (which is supposedly a bear to code for) so they may as well use it.

There will likely be a PC port too. Just like the first one.

Even the FF series?

The rest, in general, yes, do suck ass.

FF7 for the PC was ok, but the FMV was horrid. At least they took the time to translate the movies to a decent format for the FF8 port. That was a great port of a FF game.

Of course, now I've got a PS2 and all of the FF's that were released on the PS1 and 2 so I don't really care if they ever port a FF to the PC again (though FFXI would be nice on the PC)

A 3D ChronoTrigger on the PC... now that would rock.

Default Post Yeay!

I liked Red Faction! Aside from a plot that kept losing itself and always seemed to fail to even hold the author's interest and the worst voice acting I've heard since "Spaceship Warlock", I really liked the geo-mod environment-thingy. It was fun being able to actually blow chunks out of the walls and such. I always hoped they'd patch the jitteries out of the original and add a decent expansion pack to it, a sequel that doesn't have the same mistakes as the first could kick-ass!
