Best Gamepad Suggestions
I need a good gamepad badly. The ones I have been buying suck. Probably because I buy cheap. Now I want to know what yall have used/are using. Or what you've heard about certain gamepads. A friend suggested a "NYKO Airflow". Dont know if its any good though. Thanks ahead of time. :P

Everything you could really ever need on the controller.. it's extremely cheap (29 bucks canadian )

Best thing to do is to buy a PS2 USB adapter and hook up a PS2 controller. Not the cheapest solution but definitely the best. If you dont want to go that way the Nyco controller is sweet too

I use the Logitech Dual Action gamepad, it's just like the PS2 controller except it doesn't have 'Dual Shock'. Costs $20. Logitech has a few others too.

Yes and yes. I was looking for a cheap gamepad back when NFS:U came out and it was great. I've been using it for NFS:U2 now and it's still great. I don't think you can go wrong, unless you want a vibrating controller and or one with more buttons.

try for an old school Gravis Gamepad pro USB, thats what I use, I've tried logitech and microsoft controllers but always go back to the GGPP, similar to a PS controller but no analogue sticks, has the 2 trigger buttons for your index fingers.

I have the thrustmaster dual power 2 and it's a great controller. If you have a ps2, gc, or xbox console, I'd suggest purchasing an adapter for the controller; they work great.

I was going to recommend this one as well, because of its great usefulness in games like Mechwarrior 4. But Dom took my idea...damn psychics!!

As long as it doesn't look like I'm wearing a pad, I'm fine.
Works like a tampon, fits like a pad! Stops the "Dead and Red smell"
I think that's the sickest thing I've said all week.

Naw i heard the NyKo air flow sux (fan dies after a while)... but thats just me... anyway i think the Saitek P2500 is the best (from my own experience)... i use it for FFXI and NFSU1/2 and maybe some old games and it works pretty well...
Goes for about $29.99 USD, CompUSA ad:
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...7709&pfp=srch1
The P880 is just as good cept no rumble and additional features:
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...2914&pfp=srch1
Latest Driver support seems recent: 10/28/04
A picture of the Controller here:
http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/images/.../pcp/p2500.jpg
Now if you have a PS2 Controller, you can easily buy a PS2 -> USB (PC) converter like this:
http://www.buynshop.com/productinfo/74/505-01056/ but ive seen smaller converters out there almost as small as PS/2 (Mouse port) to USB
Most of the other Gamepads out there are alright, but the best thing is to go to a retail store like BestBuy or CompUSA and test out the controller there first and see if the feeling fits your preference.
