How much is it again? Just for the cheapest version... I might have to buy this if everyone likes it enough.
OIC- 50 bucks-
I need to go research what happens if I format my HD- what then? How many times do you get to reformat with the same license?

Damn I just spent an hour in this game and wow! It's gonna take a lot to compete on this level of quaility!
The interaction is something else - never seen AI like this before and the graphic and sound is like
I shall be taking the day off tomorrow! MMuahahahahaa!
I am backing the data up now, as there is an option to back it up

What's up with steam? How big is it without any games downloaded? (before HL2, what about after?)
EDIT- I see the screens above say it's about 5 gigs altogether? Is that about right?
The support system seems to be weak- all those drop down boxes to navigate through...
What about Daemon tools? Does Steam mess that all up?

Well it runs great in 1600x1200 at 8AA and 16AAF, with highest level of detail. I am not sure what the fps is, but it looks **cough** rather nice

I shall upload some screenshots when we have a post ready for it - I dont want to spoil the game though - so I shall wait till others have posted.
Backup takes a while from one hard disk to the other!

Guys in the interests of those who havent played it yet, can we keep the spoilers to a minimum? I know its hard but if you want you can start a thread clearly marked HL2 SPOILERS!

i still haven't played it, but i still haven't read a bad thing about the game. every forum i visit and I read the first impressions, people are so amazed, it's the very first time a game that has had so much anticipation came true the way it should. sure it took long, but i'm glad to see the waiting paid off! now, i just wanna go home and play....
