That's about normal for a new release game? $40-60, though I agree on the pipe issue if they expect a huge turnout..From all I've heard the MP _blows_ and the single player is OK..$60 for a single player game? Hah no thank you.

good call hawgshead,i made the mistake of getting a copy of directors edition.i got the first copy in the area.i get home install the game and get an error at the end of installation about some temp file, which you know has to be related to some new copy protection.also both of my opt drives only read from the dvd about 1 in 5 times.i looked arround and it is an epidemic with this game.i called ea and they said send back and exchange for cd version or get a different drive.i have arround 50 or 60 gig of games installed and other than basic bugs the moh series is the only games that give me probs.and there is hardly any extras like what was stated in the release hype.later

I don't really like the MOH series... -_- And EA always sells their games WAY TOO HIGH... Far Cry was damn cheap at the release!!! At least for our standards in my country... 40$ is cool! A normal new game is about 50/60$. Never less and usally way more than that!!!

actually they are going to have less takers so they can get away with it...
and the dvd specail edition is twice the data... So thats why the regular cd version should be cheaper

*crawls from under a rock* what? the games already out? when did this happen? also ive always had problems with EA games they either run poorly or i have certain problem with installing/uninstalling MOH: allied assault gave me so many problems everytime i would uninstall it. 1 in 5 uninstalls would always go wrong.

The Single Player really isn't that good either - it's too hard in some parts and too short and easy in others. The MP absolutely SUCKS @$$...I haven't seen character models move that stiffly since the first MOH on PlayStation.

Exactly. In fact, I think the last EA game I played that ran pretty smoothly was NHL '96 on the Sega Genesis.

I couldn't even get it to install, much less play or uninstall the piece of sh!t. I think most of the MOH games have all been a big waste of time and money. Avoid the hassle, friends!

No, not really though the DVD has interviews with vets, footage on how the game was developed, historical war footage, a Pacific Theater Time Line graph, game background information and other extras.

The only gameplay difference between the DVD and CD versions is an "exclusive" weapon in gameplay- There is probably already a mod to provide it to everyone. The DVD version is not worth it- the supplemental features are short and only mildly informative, or entertaining.
The CD version is also cheaper than the DVD version.

That is a lot for a game that doesn't allow you to use antialiasing!

yea...i dont really like the gameplay too much. you play for 5 mins and then load...it breaks up the pace of the game a whole lot. then on top of that, the mouse motion is just retarded...there is no way to disable the mouse accel.

I was wondering if they fixed that or not-- if not, then there is no way in hell I'm wasting my time with it. Man, thank god those guys broke off and decided to make the COD series!

When it comes to every category COD wins, but hey, to each his own.

well...CoD would lose in graphics, except for the little AA problem MoH:PA has. Everything else is better in CoD though. CoD feels stiff, like you're in control of the game. MoH:PA tries to do that "realism" thing where you see yourself bob when you run, and everything is kind of slow turning and such, feels too loose, and less solid. The sounds in CoD blow MoH:PA away too.

I find all these past WW2 games sorta lame... CoD sucks in graphics and feels not like a game but a movie.. Same with the MOH series! Vietnam ones too... This is getting old and repititive!!!

Graphics, Graphics, Graphics. That's all I hear, some gamers are getting way too deep into the whole visual appeal of things. CoD is thrice the WW2 game any MOH game will ever be and along with the COD: UO... Don't even compare it with MOH. The control scheme for MOH:PA is hella annoying for me. I have yet to find the option to allow me to duck by holding shift and stand right back up by releasing it.
Nice screenshot, Nacht.
I'm still gonna play MOH: PA and beat it despite the fact that I've never beaten any other MOH game.

For you maybe, but as you can see driverheaven has a large following for this genre. if it annoys you so much then ignore the threads and find ones that interest you.
