DOOM3 EVGA6800 GT....You Are Not Ready!!!!

I cannot put into words how amazing this game is. Its graphics are great, as these pictures will show. Lets put that aside. The atmosphere in this game is nothing short of brilliant. You will be playing on the edge of your seat. The sound and visual quality, and atmosphere is at a level that is just breathtaking. (Note: Faint green lines are my wonderful Sony G500 getting ready to be replaced; its not ariftiacts. I get it on every dark background.)
Notice the heat coming from the hose, and the effect, and the bump mapping on everything. This EVGA 6800 GT runs this game smooth at max settings. God, what an amazing game. I recommend using headphones.

Those lines have nothing to do with your monitor man- You could take a screenshot with no monitor hooked up- I see it too- I think it's 16bit textured fog or something... It's not your monitor..

I recommend a nice 5.1 setup with a Fortissimo III 7.1- It sounds AWESOME.. MUCH better than FarCry, or any other game I've ever heard.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game at 1024 x 768 2xAA, 4xAF with all in-game settings maxed.. This is one game that still looks amazing even at low AA levels.. It's so dark you hardly notice, and it looks like with OGL it almost makes a weird sort of temporal AA when things are moving so fast.. Hard to explain, but it still looks good.

OC'd 9700pro chuggin along very nicely still, but an X800XT or NV 6800GT would be nice....
